AN EXPERIMENT IN REPETITION

A little order.
A thousand possibilities.

What happens when a photograph becomes a pattern? Symmetry Studio looks for a small, textured part of your image, repeats it through the 17 wallpaper groups, then blends the results into a new surface. It makes an artistic texture, not a reconstruction of the original scene.

01 / FIND

Choose a photo. The studio looks for a crop with useful color and detail.

02 / REPEAT

Geometric translations, reflections, and rotations turn the crop into tiles.

03 / MIX

Move complexity to blend more patterns. Stop where the image still feels like yours.

03 / LIVE RESULTPreparing textures…
All sharp

Click the image to move focus, or use arrow keys while it is selected. Higher values narrow the sharp area and soften the surroundings. This is a focus effect, not estimated 3D depth.

THE SYMMETRY LIBRARY

Select one or more groups to make your own mix. Selecting groups resets the slider; moving the slider clears your selection.

Percentages show each group’s average contribution to the image. Groups that match the photo’s colors more closely contribute more in those areas. Values update with the slider or your selection; rounded values may not total exactly 100%.
